Philosophy
The underlying philosophy of a decentralized virtual society
The Parabox philosophy is simple: ensure that not one person/entity can burden the experience or value proposition of the Parabox ecosystem for the wider community. The way to do this is by making all valuable infrastructure of the Parabox virtual world open-source and completely on-ledger. This way, all contributions to building the Parabox ecosystem will come from the community, making the potential for how vast Parabox can become limitless.
The main problem with prominent Metaverse platforms like Decentraland and Sandbox is that the experiences that evolve within their ecosystem are not engaging enough for the broader web2 community to adopt.
These experiences are unengaging because they are created via an arbitrary SDK and confined to a small unitary area called a land parcel. These land parcels function inappropriately in the context of what they should be.
If someone wants to build a game or experience virtually and integrate crypto assets into its infrastructure. This experience should not be limited to a small land parcel in an overloaded virtual world, not if it wants to compete with popular web2 games and experiences, which have no limitations.
With all of this in mind, there will no longer be a land parcel sale, airdrop for land parcels, arbitrary SDK release, or singular DAO.
Instead, the optimal solution for bridging the gap between web2 gamers, content creators, and web3 is to open-source all Parabox virtual world code and allow it to be built upon by the community. The community can then utilize a broader range of development tools to contribute to the Parabox ecosystem.
The Parabox virtual world will have its experiences split by a unified 2D interface, allowing users to jump into different land experiences in a portal like manner.

The current interface for the Parabox virtual world application
The incentive for the community to contribute to this open-source virtual world rather than a single team lies in the fact that the community members of Parabox are all owners of an Avatar collection called GAT.
GAT is a 3D Avatar NFT collection that will exist on the Radix Ledger and be playable within the open-source virtual world code of Parabox. The community will strive to contribute to this open-source virtual world due to the ease of building experiences around 3D rigged Avatars and pre-existing virtual world environments like the Genesis Plaza, which contain a chat system and internal mini-games/experiences.
The community will also have incentive to contribute to this code via their initial PARA distribution, which will allow the community to build DAOs and games around GAT and virtual world applications using PARA as a unified treasury token.
It is not a realistic proposal to offer an arbitrary private land parcel sale, SDK, and DAO, when, as in-part proved by HGE SOL and the ABC NFT collection, if a community cares about an NFT ecosystem or open-source virtual world, multiple DAOs, SDKs, and games will form around the tokenized assets and code that encompasses it.
In general, SDKs for metaverse-related worlds mentioned above have very little demand, so trying a different, more community-centredd approach is vital!
As Vitalik Buterin once said - The "metaverse" is going to happen but I don't think any of the existing corporate attempts to intentionally create the metaverse are going anywhere.
The Vitalik tweet perfectly reflects the Parabox philosophy. Instead of getting VCs to invest in Parabox, giving them PARA to unload on the community, and then creating an SDK that has no previous use, why not leverage the one undeniable USP of Web3 - Decentralization, and build software through familiar development paradigms as a collective force!

A Collective Force
This way, the community can build something with true potential to sustain itself for years to come without relying on one single entity. A single entity will always aim to route value away from users and content creators to themselves. This is not always a bad thing either, centralized parties do this because they are responsible for paying for the entire operating cost of their platform, so they always have an intrinsic bias towards their own success monetarily rather than the community as a whole; hence the strategy of open-source development and tokenized base level assets like GAT and PARA which can foster an ecosystem where multiple DAOs, Games, and SDKs can emerge.
This is the only way a true Metaverse can one day exist, despite what large corporations and VCs tell you...
